Double bar PE squeeze-off tools provide two pinch points to increase squeeze confidence and yield optimal flow control. REED offers the best designed Double Squeeze™ tools for stopping flow in ½” up to 6” PE pipe. User input led to features like hand grooves for lifting, reduced weight, and a controlled, low-effort squeeze. Sliding bar handles on these manual PE pipe squeeze tools improve maneuverability in tight spaces and increase leverage for tightening.
Fine-pitched thread on the feed screw allows for a consistent, smooth squeeze. Grease fittings at friction points improve performance and extend tool life. Aluminum bars are anodized or painted for protection against the elements. All PE squeeze off tools use positive stops to prevent damage caused by over-clamping.
Multiple size/SDR settings on each pair of stops provide necessary, over-squeeze protection for standard pipe sizes. Plus, color-coded stops (standard on PES6DB models and optional on PES4DB models) simplify visual alignment. REED double squeeze-off tools for all US nominal pipe sizes follow these standards: ASTM F1734, ASTM F1041, ASTM F1563. Metric models meet ISO 4437 standards.
NOTE: REED strongly recommends use of the PEGR7 Static Grounding Device (#04621) with PE Double Squeeze tools. Use a grounding device as a precaution against static build-up to dissipate the charge and minimize the possibility of ignition. New design removes operator pain points with its reduced weight and durable construction, plus the specially-designed hand placement areas for lifting. To reduce user frustration, the ASTM squeeze and release rates are also adhered to the PES4DB and PES6DB tool bodies, eliminating the need to find the manual.
