Advantages

A Head Per Job

A V head holds the pipe still, a roller head lets it turn, a ball transfer kit lets it slide any way — all on the same base.

Folds For Site Work

The PJ3FLB folding base stows in a vehicle or a tight store, while the fixed PJ3FXB stays as a workshop station.

Load Against Surface

Nylon carries 450 kg, polyurethane 600 kg, steel 1000 kg; the material sets both the load and how gently it meets the pipe.

Corrosion-Duty Options

Stainless steel rollers, ball transfer kits and sleeves are available for stainless pipe and corrosive sites.

Specifying a pipe stand is two decisions: which base, which head. On the base side, PJ3FXB is fixed and PJ3FLB folds; both are built from box section, carry 1000 kg and adjust between 27" and 48" in height. The folding type stows in a vehicle or a tight store, while the fixed type suits a permanent workshop station. On the head side, the decision follows what the pipe has to do. V heads hold the pipe still: the PJ3V standard V head covers 1" to 12", the LVH large V head covers 1" to 24", and the LVH also mounts on PJQB and PJ4B bases. Where the pipe must turn during welding, roller heads take over — nylon carries 450 kg, polyurethane 600 kg, steel 1000 kg. Material is not only a load question but a marking question: nylon and polyurethane contact the surface more gently, while steel takes the highest load. Stainless roller (SWK350SS, SWK4SS) and stainless ball transfer (BTK4SS) versions are there for stainless pipe and corrosive sites. Ball transfer kits let the pipe move in any direction. The SSC3-1 and SSC4 stainless sleeves fit over the PJ3V and LVH heads respectively. Kits ending in 4 (NWK4, PWK4, SWK4, BTK4) mount on the LVH head; the 350 versions mount directly on a PJ3FXB or PJ3FLB base.
