GBC-Latch-Type Cage Clamps

On pipeline welding, holding the two ends in line is the first condition for a sound weld. GBC ratchet cage clamps do that job from the outside: the cage wraps the pipe and the ratchet handle draws it tight all the way round, pulling both ends onto a common axis. What sets the ratchet type apart is tight access — in a trench, on scaffold or alongside an existing line, where there is no room to swing a handle through a full turn, short strokes finish the clamping. Force is transmitted through precision-machined Acme threads, a form that gives high strength and stays easy to work. The mechanism is enclosed, keeping site dirt and mud out. Because the clamp does not slacken while welding, it can stay on after tacking to hold alignment. The series covers 16 sizes from 12" to 60"; weight climbs from 29 kg at 12" to 167 kg at 60", so handling and lifting on site belong in the size decision. Every size works with the standard 1" ratchet handle (CCRH, 2.7 kg) — one handle drives the whole fleet. Clamps come with standard straight cross bars or tack-free arched cross bars, and stainless steel versions are available.
