REED Threaded Rod Cutters give a fast, clean cut on soft steel threaded rod and eliminate the need for grinding or filing. Threaded rod is commonly used on construction sites to secure pipe, conduit, ductwork, and other systems. Head is made of forged alloy steel while cutting dies are heat-treated for strength. Powder-coated, painted handle features a drilled hole on the lower handle for permanent mounting to a benchtop or other surface.
The comfort grip on the upper handle improves ergonomics and reduces operator fatigue during repeated use. TRC2D features two cutting positions for 1/2 inch or 3/8 inch. The TRC1S, with a single cutting position, ships with 3/8 inch dies and can be outfitted with optional dies for 1/4 inch rod. The TRC1S holds one die set at a time, allowing users to change sizes as needed.
