Components of the SKF 25 plate beveling machine

Safety precaution before installing the license plate chamfer
The plate beveling machine can only be operated in a horizontal position. Secure the workpiece.
Checking the properties of the workpiece.
The surface of the workpiece must meet the following requirements. The surface should be smooth and free of any burn spots, slag, welding joints and so on. Remove surface roughness before starting milling.
Adjusting the milling head
Place the machine on the top side (power connection cable). Release the locking mechanism (2) on both sides of the machine. Set the desired milling angle. The milling angle can be seen on the scale (1). Tighten the locking mechanism (2) on both sides of the machine.

Adjusting the chamfer width
Place the machine on the top (power connection cable). Release the locking mechanism (1). Set the desired chamfer angle by turning the adjustment screw (3). The chamfer width can be seen on the scale (2). Tighten the locking mechanism (1).

Installation of the guide roller for milling plates
Assemble the plate (3) according to the drawing. Secure the guide rollers (2) to the borehole (1) with washers and nuts.

Milling with plate chamfer
For milling, do the following:
- ' Align and fix the workpiece to be machined horizontally.
- ' Assemble the guide roller according to the desired application, see chapter Assembling the guide roller.
- ' Adjust the milling angle and chamfer width, see Adjusting the milling angle and Adjusting the chamfer width.
- ' Insert the plug into the mains socket.
- ' Position the machine above the workpiece so that the mill does not enter the workpiece.
- ' Open the machine, see chapter Opening the plate beveler.
- ' Slide the license plate beveler slowly and evenly from right to left in the direction of the arrow. The tool runs in the opposite direction of travel.
- ' Switch off the plate beveler, see '.
- ' Unplug the plug from the power outlet.
ATTENTION
Possible property damage if the machine is used improperly!
Follow the instructions below to avoid damage.
Lay the connecting cable so that it does not get caught in the treadmill.
NOT
Follow the instructions below.
Never connect the swivel plates to the material during stop.
Ensure an even feed.
Using license plate chamfer
The following procedure shows how to operate the plate beveler:
Switching on the machine
- “ Set the main switch (1) to position ”1".
- ' Press the green pressure switch (2) to switch on the milling motor. The yellow indicator light (4) lights up.
Switching off the machine
- ' Press the red pressure switch (3) to switch off the milling motor.
- “ Set the main switch (1) to position ”0".
Restarting after overloading
' To restart the machine after overloading, first press the red pressure switch (3) and then the green pressure switch (2).
NOT
In case of temporary overload, the red indicator light (5) flashes.
In case of permanent overload, the red indicator light (5) lights up and the milling motor is switched off.

Changing the tool (bits) of the plate beveling machine
WARNING Risk of injury!
Do not use damaged, dirty or worn tools (tips).
Replace tools (inserts) only when the machine is switched off and stationary. Unplug the plug from the power outlet.
Use only tools, adapters and accessories that match the machine.
Turning the end side
- Place the machine on the top (power connection cable).
- ' Remove the screw (2).
- ' Remove the housing (1).
- ' Remove the fixing screw (3), turn the reversing plate and tighten the fixing screw again.
- ' Repeat the procedure for all reversing plates of the mill.
- ' Replace the subject and tighten the screw (2).

Changing attachments
The reversing plate should be replaced when it is completely worn:
- ' Unscrew the fixing screw and remove the reversing plate.
- Insert the reversing plate and tighten the fixing screws again.
