In principle, ITALIAN GBC PIPE CUTTING AND BEVELLING MACHINES can cut and bevel steel pipe of any thickness.
(Note: this is cold cutting and cold bevelling)
In some cases the right cutting inserts have to be designed and made. In others, more than one pass is needed.
MAXIMUM THICKNESS — pipe cutting & bevelling machines
GBC MCA CUTTER:
1) No limit for carbon steel,
2) Stainless steel <= 30 mm
3) Exotic materials such as Inconel <= 20 mm
GBC FAST CUTTER:
1) No limit for carbon steel,
2) Stainless steel <= 50 mm
3) Exotic materials such as Inconel <= 30 mm
GBC SUPERCUTTER: no limit
MAXIMUM THICKNESS — pipe bevelling machines:
1) Standard large machines have a blade that bevels up to 30 mm thickness.
2) For thicker pipe, consult us — we can design special blades.
a) Finally, if the machine is electric or pneumatic, additional passes must be made with the blade.
