After thirty years of studying our customers' experience from every angle, the designers at GBC Industrial Tools created the FAST machines, bringing together the best and the most advanced of that long experience. With them GBC Industrial Tools confirmed its readiness to develop innovative machines and to lead the industry. FAST is not only suited to cutting and bevelling pipe ends; it is also an ideal answer for work on continuous pipelines. Its design combines the light weight, convenience and range of drive types of the MCA with the reliability, power and ruggedness of the SUPERCUTTER, and it adds a number of entirely new technical solutions: self-centring, a new way of mounting the support plates, an improved automatic radial tool feed and more.
APPLICATION: pipe from 150 to 1530 mm in diameter; PURPOSE: cutting the pipe while forming the weld bevel at the same time or in sequence; MATERIAL: carbon steel, stainless steel and others; DRIVE TYPES: electric / pneumatic / hydraulic;

A 90° angle gearbox lets the drive be turned, which makes the machine convenient to work with in confined conditions.

FAST — this machine is available in three different drive versions. The FAST can be fitted with an electric, a pneumatic or a hydraulic drive.

FAST

One of the main distinguishing features of this type of machine is the innovative self-centring device, which centres the machine perfectly, cuts the time spent positioning it on the pipe considerably, and gives maximum stability thanks to the special high-strength support feet.
The split ring of the lightweight body allows the FAST to be mounted on an "endless" pipe without lifting gear.
The copying tool slide, part of the standard supply, rolls along the outer surface of the pipe and forms the root face geometry accurately, following the ovality of the pipe. The slide is designed so tools can be changed quickly without removing the machine from the pipe. The FAST has an automatic radial tool feed.
