With 28-to-1 leverage, it is easy for one person to fuse PVC or ABS solvent cement pipe welds up to 12 inch diameter, using the REED Plastic Pipe Joiner. Saddles and this pipe assembly tool are needed with solvent cement connections. The Plastic Pipe Joiner connects solvent cement joints on all IPS pipe schedules, water, sewer, PIP and DWV pipe from 4”
- 12”. Use of a pipe joiner is safe and under the operator’s control for the assembly process. For solvent cement connections, individually sized saddles must be ordered together with the Plastic Pipe Joiner (PPJ) and the plastic pipe joiner fitting attachment (PPJFA). PPJFA is only used for branch attachments. The PPJ can separate dry fit connection; just reverse the directional arrows on the two pawls. Solvent cement joining with a plastic pipe joiner tool occurs at places such as processing plants, water treatment facilities and industrial locations, among other applications.
