GBC Purge Tape Products

EZ Zone® Tape is a purge gas retaining tape used to close the root gap between pipes in order to trap argon gas. It consists of two adhesive sections separated by a non-adhesive centre zone; the adhesive part of the tape never comes into contact with the pipe while welding. It is free of halogens and chlorofluorocarbons. EZ Tape® is a traditional aluminium tape used to close the root gap while cleaning and sealing pipe ends for transport.

Fiback®, the fibreglass backing tape, is a heat resistant aluminium tape with a woven fibreglass centre strip, designed to eliminate or reduce the need for back purging and post-weld grinding. Aquasol® Water Soluble Tape is a pressure-sensitive water soluble tape recommended for holding purge dams in place.
