Advantages

Holder And Cutter Split

The blade holder defines the angle and stays on the machine, so only the worn cutter is replaced.

The Cobalt Carbon Series

Blades containing 8% cobalt stand apart on hot hardness and hold their edge longer under sustained cutting load.

TiCN For Stainless

On the stainless side, 30°, 37.5° and 45° all exist in TiCN-coated form, with the coating lowering sticking at the edge.

25° In Two Thicknesses

The 25° blades come at 28 mm and 33 mm, so the choice follows the section the application calls for.

Features

  • Blade holders for facing and for 30° and 37.5° outside bevels
  • 8% cobalt carbon steel blades: facing, 30°, 37.5° and 45°
  • TiCN-coated stainless blades at 30°, 37.5° and 45°
  • 25° blades in two thicknesses: 28 mm and 33 mm
  • A 24-inch extension kit for the SM7_24
  • Variable-angle double-sided insert for the SM7_24 wedge-lock system
  • The holder stays on the machine; only the cutter wears

Three different part types sit in this family, and telling them apart is what prevents a wrong order. First, blade holders: 15066 for facing, 15068 for a 30° outside bevel and 15069 for 37.5°. The holder carries the cutting tool and defines the angle, and it stays on the machine when the worn cutter is replaced. Second, blades. On the carbon side there is a series containing 8% cobalt: 10475 for facing, 10476 at 30°, 10477 at 37.5° and a 45° blade. Cobalt content bears on hot hardness, so this series holds its edge longer under sustained cutting load. On the stainless side the same three angles exist in TiCN-coated form, the coating lowering the tendency of stainless to stick at the cutting edge. The 25° blades are a sub-group of their own, offered in two thicknesses: 28 mm and 33 mm. The third type is ancillary: 15078 is a 24-inch extension kit for the SM7_24, and 11514 is a variable-angle double-sided insert for the SM7_24 wedge-lock system. Three facts settle an order here: part type, angle and material group. Fix those three and one line remains out of the fourteen; mixing up a holder with a blade is the most common ordering mistake, and reading the code prefix prevents it.
