GBC Twin Bag Purging Systems
Specifications / Models
Product Description
Twin Bag Purging Systems consist of two inflatable bags connected to each other by a spinal tube and a pressure valve. The system is positioned by viewing the luminous strip through the weld joint gap. EZ Zone Tape is used to close the weld gap and the purge gas flow can start at up to 20 Ltr/min. The bags inflate, a seal is created on both sides of the weld joint and the pressure valve releases gas into the weld chamber.
The welder uses a GBC Oxygen Monitor to measure the oxygen content in the weld chamber continuously, and so knows when to reduce the gas flow and when to start welding. The system is left in place after welding until the weld joint temperature falls below oxidation levels; the purge gas supply is then shut off, the bags deflate and the system can be withdrawn.
