Product Description
The GBC Rapid Purge System for pipe and tank purging consists of a tandem inflatable dam system connected by an umbilical hose and a collar in order to reduce the volume to be purged. A gas exhaust valve together with an auxiliary argon bleed line is fitted between the primary and the secondary dam. The system is positioned by viewing the luminous strip through the weld joint gap. EZ Zone Tape is used to close the weld gap and the purge gas flow can start at up to 20 Ltr/min.
The bags inflate, a seal is created on both sides of the weld joint and the pressure valve releases gas into the weld chamber. The system is left in place after welding until the weld joint temperature falls below oxidation levels; the purge gas supply is then shut off, the bags deflate and the system can be withdrawn.
