GBC Expanding Pipe Plugs

Expandable test plugs for purging and general pipe blocking. Pipe plugs, or drain plugs as they are sometimes known, are used to close the end of a pipe or an opening temporarily for many different test applications. Pipe plugs are mainly used to seal water, gas and foreign bodies in newly laid pipes or in pipe systems that are being repaired. GBC's range of pipe plugs is available in a number of different styles to suit many applications for pipe sizes from 1/2 inch to 72 inch.

Special pipe plugs for pressure testing are also available. The nylon plugs are the standard 'drain plugs' used to test the sealing of waste water lines during installation. 5 inch and are suitable for more demanding tasks such as immersion in chemicals and/or higher temperatures. The steel plugs are offered from 2" to 72" in diameter and are suitable for long immersion in water, use at higher temperatures or contact with acidic or alkaline environments.
