Advantages

Made For Stainless

These heads are supplied specifically for stainless, so they keep cutting in work-hardening material instead of blunting early.

Angle Or Radius

30°, 37.5° and 45° straight bevels plus R2 to R6 radii — the weld prep is set by which head you fit.

Low Cost Per Metre

A blunt head comes off and a fresh one goes on with the machine still on site, keeping running cost per metre down.

Depth Picks The Machine

Bevel Mite gives 6 mm, Bevel Mate 8 mm and the R6 head 10 mm; the prep depth you need decides the machine.

Bevelling stainless calls for a different cutter than carbon steel: stainless work-hardens as you cut, and an edge with the wrong geometry goes blunt fast. The Beveltools INOX range is supplied specifically for this material and fits the Bevel Mate, Bevel Mite and Mini Mite machines. Specifying one is two steps. First the machine and the depth: Bevel Mite heads cut 6 mm of bevel, Bevel Mate heads cut 8 mm, and the R6 head takes that to 10 mm. Then the geometry. Angled heads cut a straight bevel — 30°, 37.5° and 45°. Two 37.5° faces meeting across a joint form a 75° V prep; 45° is the common standard for general plate work; 30° gives a narrower prep, which means less filler metal and less arc time. Radius heads (R2, R3, R4, R6) are for edge rounding and J-type preps, and as the radius grows so does the material removed and the power the machine has to supply. Because the heads are replaceable, a blunt one comes off and a fresh one goes on with the machine still on site, keeping the running cost per metre low. The head you fit also sets the maximum bevel width the machine can produce.
