Advantages
The Step Before Welding
Clears burr, oxide and tack remains left on a machined preparation, so the weld goes onto a clean, dressed face.
Contact By Form
The flat T27 suits shallow-angle work, the conical T29 keeps full contact at a steeper angle. On a sloped face that shows up in disc life.
Rough And Finish
P40 cuts fast, P60 leaves a smoother face. Two grits cover both the clean-up and the finishing pass in one range.
Two Diameters
115 mm for tight access, 125 mm for covering more surface in fewer passes. Both mount on standard angle grinders.

Features
- Disc diameters of 115 mm and 125 mm
- Flat T27 body for working at a shallow angle to the surface
- Conical T29 body for full contact at a steeper angle
- P40 coarse grit for burr, oxide and tack clean-up
- P60 fine grit for a smooth face before welding
- Eight codes covering diameter, form and grit combinations
- Runs on standard 115/125 mm angle grinders
A preparation coming off a bevelling machine is not always ready to weld: burr at the root, oxide left from the earlier cut, or tack marks may still be sitting on the face. The Bevel Prep Disc handles that intermediate step. There are three choices to make. First diameter: 115 mm suits smaller grinders and tight access, while 125 mm covers more surface per pass. Second, body form. The flat T27 gives even contact when the disc is worked at a shallow angle to the surface; the conical T29 keeps full-face contact when the disc is held at a steeper angle. On the sloped face of a weld preparation that difference shows up directly in contact area and disc life. Third, grit. P40 cuts coarser and clears burr, oxide and tack remains quickly; P60 removes less and leaves a smoother face for welding. In practice the rough clean-up is P40 and the finishing pass is P60. All eight codes are the same function in different diameter, form and grit combinations, and holding one coarse and one fine line per diameter covers most site work.
