BDS Magnetic Drills · Calculator
Speed (RPM) Calculator
Work out the speed your magnetic drill should run at from the cutter diameter, the material and the cutting speed. The right speed makes cutters last longer and holes cleaner.
The Vc value is filled in as a suggestion for the chosen material and cutter; you can change it by hand.
Suggested Speed

devir / dakika (RPM)
n = (Vc × 1000) / (π × D)
n = (25 × 1000) / (π × 20)
n = (25 × 1000) / (π × 20)
How does it work? The speed is worked out from the cutting speed (Vc) and the cutter diameter (D): n = (Vc × 1000) / (π × D). Suggested Vc values arrive automatically for the material and cutter type; you can enter your own. For a firm product choice, contact us.
