SUPERCUTTER
Machinable pipe range 150-1530 mm
TU 3137-002-74807072-2007
The SUPERCUTTER mobile pipe cutting and bevelling machine was built for use in especially hard conditions: in works producing pipe and pipe assemblies, and in chemical and nuclear engineering plants. The SUPERCUTTER is ideal for field work on the construction and repair of pipelines, compressor stations, chemical works and refineries.
APPLICATION: pipe from 150 to 1530 mm in diameter; PURPOSE: cutting the pipe while forming the weld bevel at the same time or in sequence; MATERIAL: carbon steel, stainless steel and others; DRIVE TYPES: pneumatic / hydraulic.

hydraulic pneumatic
By drive type, the machines are supplied in two versions: pneumatic and hydraulic.
Machines can also be fitted with an angle gearbox that turns the motor through 90°. That option makes the machine convenient to work with in confined conditions.
The new SUPERCUTTER machines use an innovative system for rotating the inner ring on high-quality bearings. The design gives a higher rotation speed without vibration and makes the machine easier to service, without any loss of reliability or of its tolerance of rough conditions and of the operator's level of experience.

TOOLING
The rigid mounting of the split ring and of the machine's slides guarantees that the start and end points of the tool path coincide, and that the pipe is cut in a plane perpendicular to its axis. The split ring allows the SUPERCUTTER to be mounted on an "endless" pipe, and the hinged joint makes that mounting easier.
A special copying tool slide rolls along the outer or the inner surface of the pipe and forms the root face geometry accurately, following the ovality of the pipe. Having two tools makes it possible to form bevels of different shape on the pipe being machined. The slide is designed so tools can be changed quickly without removing the machine from the pipe.
Tool configurations for every type of weld bevel were developed specifically to meet Russian standards, technical specifications and approval documents (Transneft, Gazprom, Rosatom). These tools are series-produced and machine pipe with a grade up to X100.
[ 15 ]
The upper support legs carry size markings for the pipe being machined. That speeds up the initial positioning of the machine for a new pipe diameter.
A wide range of additional slides — a copying slide following the inner surface of the pipe, a slide for internal boring, a slide for removing the external taper, a slide for stripping insulation and the special CrossBar axial feed module — makes very complex and special work possible. Our design office is ready to look at any non-standard task and to develop special attachments to solve it.

OVERALL DIMENSIONS
Every machine has an automatic coolant supply system. Coolant intensifies the cutting process and lengthens tool life while preventing the metal from burning. A special tray for collecting chips and for filtering and recirculating the coolant keeps its consumption low and the machine environmentally clean. The tray runs on 24 V DC, which meets safety requirements.
