HYPERCUTTER
Machinable pipe range 1625-2438 mm
GBC HYPERCUTTER machines are intended for flameless cutting and for forming the weld bevel on the ends of pipe and shells of the corresponding sizes. They are built to work in hard and field conditions and can be used in workshops and on pipeline construction. They are supplied with hydraulic drives only.
APPLICATION: pipe from 1524 mm to 2435 mm (60" - 96"); PURPOSE: cutting the pipe while forming the weld bevel at the same time or in sequence; MATERIAL: carbon steel, stainless steel and others. DRIVE TYPES: hydraulic only;

The machine has a powerful hydraulic motor that delivers high performance at the low speeds these diameters require.
The rigid split-ring mounting on the pipe with eight support legs, together with extended and reinforced tool slides, guarantees reliable and efficient work and a cut perpendicular to the pipe axis. The split ring allows the HYPERCUTTER to be mounted on an "endless" pipe, and the hinged joint makes that mounting easier.
Mounting the machine at eight points is optimal for bringing the machine axis in line with the nominal axis of the pipe.
Eight support legs with a wide base hold the machine securely on the pipe.

Every support-leg screw carries a scale. The scale makes it easier to preset the legs to the required position and speeds up positioning of the machine.
A reinforced tool slide with an extended stroke and a copying follower is part of the standard equipment. Rolling along the outer surface of the pipe, it forms the root face geometry accurately, following the ovality of the pipe.
The slide is designed so that tools can be changed quickly. The machine has an automatic tool feed system.
TOOLING
Tools for the HYPERCUTTER can be made to the bevel the customer requires. Standard tools are made for every common weld bevel.
