REED Bevel Boss® cordless pipe beveling tools quickly and safely bevel plastic pipe 2 inches (50 mm) in diameter and larger. The tool's unique design makes REED Bevel Boss® the only tool on the market that offers safe and fast beveling.
This cordless pipe beveling tool processes plastic pipes of small to large diameters, including those found in ditches. The lightweight tool significantly reduces preparation time by providing fast and consistent beveling when preparing multiple pipe lengths.
These deburring tools are used on PVC and CPVC plastic pipes, including C900, Corzan® CPVC, Bionax® PVCO (C909), and also on ABS pipes. Most PVC solvent-weld and some bell and gasket joint sizes can be deburred.
With an adjustable chamfer length of up to 1 inch (approximately 25 mm), the required carbide router bits cut evenly and efficiently. It runs on battery power, so no smoke! Additionally, the guide plate eliminates guesswork about the chamfer and ensures a consistent result.
To avoid damaging the gasket, it is mandatory to chamfer the pipe when installing it into a fitting. Chamfers at the ends of pipes ensure that the solvent cement adhesive is evenly distributed, maximizing the glued contact area. Always refer to the pipe manufacturer's specifications for chamfer recommendations.
Equipment Compatibility
In addition to complete chamfering kits, chamfering adapter heads are available to fit Milwaukee®, Bosch®, or DeWalt® die grinders. These adapters allow the die grinder to be temporarily used as a chamfering tool.
The cordless pipe beveling tool also adapts to forming pipe interiors. For example, electrical and plumbing contractors deburr pipe interiors for snag-free cable pulling. To create an internal bevel on plastic pipe or conduit with an inside diameter (ID) of 2 inches (50 mm) or larger, add the CPBIDS accessory, a REED beveling shroud with a pilot plate.
NOTE: International users supplying their own die grinders may need to change the collet on their die grinder to accommodate REED Milling Burrs.
