Feed Tap™ plumbing tool, using a corporation stop valve placed in a service clamp PVC, PE, cast iron, and ductile iron It performs drilling operations on pipes while under pressure. Its compact design and separate, independent feed control allow the drilling operation to be completed using a drill (not included) for cast iron, ductile iron, or PE. In PVC, CPVC, and similar plastic pipes Manual power is required for operation. Independent feed control advances the body mill for drilling the PVC pipe as recommended by Uni-Bell PVC Pipe Association.
The FTB model Feed Tap consists of a base unit that allows the user to purchase body mills and corporation adapters separately as needed. A complete set for use with drilling power is FT2000UNIV is for sale. This set includes both a coupon holder and a drill bit CRPD25 And it also includes two sets of coupon holder magnets. The magnets work very well in the spherical cast holes, while the CRPD25 tip is suitable for coupon holding in all pipe types. The holding method to be used depends on the operator's preference.
Designed for use in plastic pipes only FTP2000UNIV, is based on manual drilling operations with REED’s proven PVC/PE body reamers. The FTP2000UNIV comes complete with all corporation adaptors, body reamers, body reamer adaptors and a socket wrench handle for services ¾” through 2” in PVC and PE. Each machine is shipped with a rugged carrying case. It should be noted that HDPE can be drilled using either manual PVC/PE body reamers (PL series) or Heavy-Duty Body Reamers (FTSC series) with a low-speed drill.
