REED pipe descalers have wide, robust scrapers that quickly remove dirt, grime and corrosion from the pipe surface, making cutting, joining, gasket/valve insertion or other operations more efficient. Pipe descalers are faster and more effective than chisels, chains or rasps and require only 5 cm of space around the pipe. Pipe descalers are used to clean the pipe before cutting, water connection or drilling. The roller handles provide smoother movement in use. The DS12 and DS36 chain descalers are made of all-steel with zinc coating for corrosion resistance and robustness. Scrapers are welded and sharpenable for long life. The advantages of belt descalers include being lighter than all-metal descalers or chains, longer to reduce back pain during use, and high profile scrapers that are not easily clogged with dirt.
